Today was our last day in our host village of Biolley. We helped our foreman, Miguel, finish up the projects we’ve been working on, including the walls for a new office space and cleaning up the gardens surrounding the beautiful place we’ve called home for the past two weeks.

These (almost) finished coffee beds will help dry the beans when the coffee harvest begins in late August.

ASOMOBI lit up by a beautiful sunset this evening 🙂

This evening, we had a special dinner with the women of ASOMOBI and their families who have been incredible hosts during our stay here. We shared words of appreciation for the opportunity to share American and Costa Rican culture, to help this community with a few projects, and to get to know this beautiful part of the world. They prepared a special presentation of a traditional Costa Rican dance, and we got a chance to try it out ourselves.

It was a bittersweet celebration of our time here. Muchísimas gracias a toda la gente de Biolley por darnos el bienvenidos en esta comunidad tan especial!
We’re excited to head to the Osa Peninsula tomorrow for a few days of beach, nature, and conservation awareness in one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet (according to National Geographic)!

P.S. We’re still tech free…and thriving!
