We wasted no time in getting our community service work started here in Biolley. We were up early to meet Miguel, our worksite foreman, who is so helpful and smiley. He doesn’t speak English, so we’re excited for the opportunity to learn and practice a lot of Spanish while working together.
Our projects today included breaking down two coffee beds that we’ll be rebuilding over the next few days, painting the supports that we’ll soon be turning into an extension of the ASOMOBI office, and cleaning out water trenches to help the flow of rainfall. It was hard work, but we’re excited to already be seeing so much progress after only one day.

We ended our day by celebrating Declan’s 17th birthday! Feliz cumpleaños, Declan!
